This factsheet provides a comprehensive overview of racist and prejudiced logics that underlie the colonial treaty process. The factsheet interrogates disparities between the understandings of oral and written treaties (particularly Treaty 9) and examines the meaning of 'Aboriginal title' in relation to the larger colonial agenda of assimilation and land dispossesion.
