This factsheet unpacks the "bachelor" myth surrounding men of Chinese heritage in Toronto between 1910-1950 and explores the different types of intimate relationships enjoyed by these men and women of non-Asian heritage. It unpacks the racialized oppression and discrimination faced by these couples including the Act to Amend the Factory, Shop and Office, while also showing how these couples grew their own communites.
